Principles and values for data governance and ethics centring the voices of children and families

Delivered online using Teams
10:00 - 12:00 Tuesday, 5 March 2024

Local authorities are using information from children and families in different ways. ‘Voice’ is central to all the different ethical issues.

An open access workshop will explore the implications for transparency and accountability, and consider how we can ensure that information is safe, secure and ethical in the way we receive it, the way we use it and the way we share it.

There will be opportunities to look at examples of promising practice for information ethics in the public sector, Data Charters and the principles and values developed by local authorities.

This is a two-hour workshop with interactive sessions with an option to attend one or all of these sessions. All sessions will be recorded and shared with participants.
