European Conference for Social Work Research (ECSWR)

European Conference for Social Work Research (ECSWR) is the biggest annual social work research event in Europe. The conference is the primary space for members of the European social work research community to gather and get to know each other, to share high quality research and expertise, and to build collaborative relationships and networks.

Our paper on ‘Enhancing Voice About the Use of Children’s Administrative Information’ has been accepted for presentation at ECSWR in April 2024. This (and its American counterpart) is the foremost international conferences in the social work research field. Drawing on insights and early findings from the Children’s Information project, our paper will invite participants to question: What may be gained from consulting children, young people and families about the nature and uses of their administrative data? What strategies may enable this to happen inclusively and effectively, and what challenges are encountered? In particular, what new challenges does the digital transformation of administrative data and data systems present, and how can children, young people and families play meaningful roles through consultation on these changes?
